Project Vegas produces more questions than answers

As the Vegas comes down for paint. I'm thinking harder about what it will ultimately become, and a chat with CJ Hanlon at Guilty Customs reminded me that I was going to look at the possibility of fitting the sprung seat he let us play with, which works well with the style I was considering.

A quick glance shows it could work, with a much bigger seat pan than the bobber one we used in the tech feature in AmV33, although that has given me something solid to start from, and the base for a bit of paper cut to the right shape and size that dovetails into the stock stretched Victory tank.

I've settled for a laid back shock mounted on the stock seat mount on the frame, but possibly dropped by 10-15mm, tucking the bolts beneath the sidecovers. Another piece of cardboard has provided the base shape for a frame cover that extends a little wider to meet the side panels for a good fit and some of the trick is going be to make that unobtrusive. There's the issue of what to do about the flat front of the rear mudguard that the original seat butts up against, but in the metal, that seems to tie in nicely with the flat back of the seat as though it is intended to provide clearance for it.

This is starting to get more radical by the day, but it will also make it more distinctive.
